Oxygen Administration

This course teaches how to operate various oxygen devices as well as how to respond and treat respiratory emergencies. The course is for those who are required to use oxygen in the workplace including lifeguards, emergency medical services (EMS) professionals, etc.

 

Instructor:

Red Cross Oxygen Administration Instructor (including Emergency Care Instructor/Instructor Trainer, Advanced Emergency Care Instructor or First Aid Instructor who holds Oxygen Administration certification and completes self-study)

Prerequisite: CPR Level HCP

Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam.

Certification: 3-year certification in Oxygen Administration

Re-certification: Not available

  • Breathing devices and suction
  • Resuscitation masks
  • Bag-valve-masks (BVM)Adult, Child, and Baby
  • Supplemental oxygen
  • Delivery devices

  • Optional wall certificate (or as required by legislation)
